Someday soon...

Someday soon…

Someday soon, 1596 people will gather because of you but you won’t be able to say hello to any of them.

Someday soon, they will slaughter 12 cows in your name, but you won’t be able to take a bite of beef.

Someday soon, many teary eyes will long to see you, lying down eyes closed but you won’t even be able to wonder why they are crying.

Someday soon, people will pen down great commendations for you in a special book beside your glazed picture. Some of those commendations were never mentioned in your ears.

Someday soon, there will be a party thrown in your name celebrating you; roads blocked, canopies spread but you will be packed in decorated wood, being made ready for disposal.

Someday soon, some well dressed guys will throw you around in this decorated wood while a band will sing praises of you, praises you’ll never be chanced to hear.

Someday soon, Posters, Invitation Cards, Pamphlets and all sorts of souvenirs will be produced, all carrying your most beautiful pictures, but you won’t even see or use them.

Someday soon, all your friends, family and loved ones will gather to say byebye to you, but none will expect you to respond.

Someday soon, all your loved ones will gather and none will make any attempt to shake your hands or hug you.

Someday soon, your best friend will dream about you, wake-up and pray fervently never to see you in his/her dreams again.

The big thing is never this event. The big thing is what becomes of the real you after this event.

Someday soon, all that will matter after all will be what you have done for the God who gave you life, either directly or indirectly.

Someday soon, you’ll receive a reward of all you have put your heart energy and life into, either good or bad too.

Unavoidable, irreversible, unpredictable.

If I were you, I’ll spend each day preparing for someday soon!

Someday… very soon.
